Student Teach Street Children

Students Teach Street Children
From the Jakarta post reported about education in Indonesia. Every child has the right to study. Without exception street children have the right to study. Lack of many is the central problem. Almost street children have effort to get study more, but situation is not supported. ‘Sekolah Bisa’ is academic assistance for students in kindergarten, first grade to fourth grade and those enrolled in special program to  help students who have had to drop out of school to catch up in their studies. ‘Sekolah Bisa’ helps children to get education. The reasons why I like ‘Sekolah Bisa’ is that it is free, helps them to get birth certificates, and get jobs.
‘Sekolah Bisa’ requires no payment. ‘Sekolah Bisa’ is led by Rebecca, Diego, and Adeen from the British International School. It helps prepare students to one day enter the work force. ‘Sekolah Bisa’ was bulit for children who cannot study. So, ‘Sekolah Bisa’ is the solution for their problem because it requires no fees.
The next reason is ‘Sekolah Bisa’ helps street children to get birth certificates. According to the central statistics agency (BPS), more than 40% Indonesian children don’t have birth certificates. Birth certificates is a legal document that becomes the stumbling block for these children and their futures. Without certificates, these children are not eligible for social services such as free public education.
The last reason is it helps them to get work and a better future. ‘Sekolah Bisa’ is committed to ensuring the children may enter the work force. It focuses on seven core pillars. One of them is health program. For the health group, ‘Sekolah Bisa’s services extendbeyond administering immunizations and monitoring nutrition. But also coordinate with the local health centers to help parents receive medical treatment.
‘Sekolah Bisa’ is acedemic assistance for students to find work and build a better future. ‘Sekolah Bisa’ not only focuses on giving acedemic instruction, but also on instilling moral values and helping the community’s livelihood.
